Assistant Controller

$105,000- $115,000 base + bonus and benefits

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position provides hands-on support across accounting operations, financial reporting, and treasury functions for the organization’s corporate and trade entities. The role contributes to the oversight of core accounting processes while supporting cash management, budgeting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, and plays a part in mentoring and supporting the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Perform bank reconciliations, tax filings (HST), month-end close activities, and monthly financial reporting across all entities
• Track and analyze daily cash activity, prepare cash flow projections, and assess the impact of upcoming transactions on cash balances
