The Opportunity

An established and growing organisation within the industrial/manufacturing sector is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure to month-end, reporting, and business partnering.

You'll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and support management reporting
  • Process and manage company expenses (corporate cards, fuel, tolls, fleet)
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Prepare financial reports and partner with cost centre stakeholders
  • Assist with year-end audit and compliance requirements
