Job Description
Job Title:
- Asphalt Roller Operator - Hampton Roads Department: Paving Reports to: Paving Foreman Major Role and Purpose : Operate a self-propelled Roller with either steel drums or solid rubber wheels used for compacting hot mix asphalt.
Description of Duties :
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal, local, state and company safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
- Rides on platform of machine and moves lever, pedals, or throttles to control and guide machine.
- Must be able to perform daily checks on equipment (i.e., hydraulic fluid level, greasing, oil levels).
- Use hand tools such as hand shovel, wrench, and screwdriver .
- Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma preferred.
