Job Overview

Axcis is searching for teaching assistants to work at a SEND school specialising in children with Autism and complex needs. The school caters to children aged 4 to 19 years and tailors provision to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a 1:1 basis with children with exceptional SEND needs who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Support the class team by working with other 1:1 children and small groups of 2–3 children.
  • Independently follow the teacher's planning and implement sessions accurately and effectively.
  • Provide feedback on sessions and contribute to planning.
  • Attend full-time hours (8:15 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday).

Requirements

  • Experience working one to one with pupils with complex ASD (essential).
