About the Role

The role supports the processing of referrals into the Children's Autism Assessment Service, booking clinical assessments, monitoring waiting lists, liaising with families, and maintaining confidentiality and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Support the processing of referrals into the Children's Autism Assessment Service.
• Book clinical assessments, ensuring all clinic appointments are filled.
• Monitor waiting lists in accordance with waiting time targets and the Patient Access Policy.
• Liaise with families daily to book appointments, answer routine/urgent queries, and change appointment times.
• Coordinate with Community Paediatricians, Allied Health Professional services, secretaries, GPs, Health Visitors, School Health, interpreters, and other departments to meet service needs.
• Manage and prioritise families into the Community ASD clinics based on the waiting list and pathway criteria.
