Art Teacher

Overview

We require an ambitious, visually imaginative, and technically skilled Art Teacher to deliver high-quality practical and theoretical visual arts instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role involves facilitating a challenging, portfolio-driven academic curriculum that deepens fine art techniques, critical context evaluation, and multi-media experimentation, preparing pupils thoroughly for terminal public examinations and future creative pathways.

Key Tasks & Daily Operations

• Curriculum Design & Instruction: Plan, resource, and deliver highly structured Art and Design lessons encompassing drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture, challenging pupils across all artistic abilities.
• Studio Leadership & Material Upkeep: Coordinate studio spaces safely, ensuring pupils master diverse media, fine art tools, and darkroom or digital equipment while maintaining meticulous care of specialist equipment and resources.
