Whitecap Energy is seeking an ARO Technical Specialist to support subsurface and surface abandonment efforts. This role integrates technical support with project management across multiple operational areas.
You will have a minimum of 8-10 years in oil and gas, focusing on initiating abandonment projects and overseeing regulatory reporting. This position requires advanced data processing and management skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage well abandonment and facility decommissioning setups
• Initiate D56 notifications for new projects
• Conduct regulatory oversight for abandonment activities
• Collaborate with asset teams on decommissioning
• Develop annual budget allocations and capital plans
