Area Manager, Machinery Areas

We are seeking an Area Manager for production area equipment (machinery) at Rauma Marine Constructions. The role involves overseeing the technical implementation of ship machinery installation work, coordinating installation teams, managing materials, tools, subcontractor contracts, schedule and cost control, and ensuring quality and HSE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation team supervisors and installers, ensuring on-site presence at the shipyard and resolving emerging challenges.
• Manage material and tool availability and handle contractual technical issues related to subcontractors.
• Control schedule, quality, and HSE throughout the installation process.
• Participate in contract preparation, review design documents, and conduct factory testing when necessary.
• Plan installation work in collaboration with subcontractors and coordinate with RMC units such as production, design, and supply chain management.
