Role Summary

The Apprentice Associate Audiologist is a member of the Audiology Team based at Northern Devon District Hospital. Working and training under the supervision and guidance of registered Audiologists, the post holder will undertake a structured programme of training to gain a foundation degree in Healthcare Science (Audiology) and will develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required to deliver high-quality audiology services.

The role involves performing the assessment, treatment and ongoing care of patients with hearing loss, while ensuring accurate record keeping, effective use of specialist equipment and the maintenance of a clean, safe and welcoming clinical environment. The post holder will manage their time, workload and resources effectively, contribute to the smooth running of the service to support individuals in improving their hearing.
