Job Description
I installed OpenClaw and tried to use the Chrome Browser Relay extension to connect to a local Gateway. I ran into constant WebSocket reconnect loops, token mismatches, and authentication mode conflicts between device-token and token auth. I also accidentally mixed dev and normal profiles, which caused port confusion vs and multiple gateway instances.
The extension would connect briefly, then fail with unauthorized, invalid request frame, and handshake failed errors. At some point, I also tried accessing an old dashboard port that was no longer serving anything, which caused connection refused errors.
In short: profile conflicts + auth mode mismatch + port confusion led to unstable WebSocket connections and relay failures.
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
