Become part of AgeCare as a Recreation Therapy Aide, dedicated to enhancing resident wellness through planned recreational activities. Contribute to a positive culture guided by trust and teamwork.
As part of your essential duties, you will assist the Recreation Manager in managing therapeutic recreation programs and evaluating participant feedback. Your role includes identifying resident leisure goals and adapting the recreation program schedule accordingly. You will also transport residents for offsite activities and ensure safety audits are performed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on residents’ Leisure Lifestyle goal assessments
• Drive residents to and from activities securely
• Engage in evaluation of Recreation Therapy programs
• Help maintain inventory of craft supplies
• Document resident participation effectively
Requirements:
• RTA diploma or HCA certificate is an asset
• Class 4 Drivers License or readiness to obtain shortly
