Why does this role exist?
This role exists to relieve a production bottleneck between editorial and design by owning the glue work of typesetting, template use, and copyedit/proof corrections. It enables faster, more reliable publishing by ensuring content is accurately imported, styled, and prepared for a senior designer's refinement. The position also supports the company's shift toward digital/direct-to-consumer by maintaining consistency across print and web touchpoints.
