Addictions Medicine Physician (Virtual Access)

Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking physicians with special training or competence in addictions management/treatment to provide services to the Virtual Access to Addictions Medicine (VAAM) Clinic.

The VAAM Clinic, based in Regina, offers physicians the flexibility to work remotely while delivering comprehensive addictions medicine to individuals seeking substance use treatment. Care is provided in alignment with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) Guidelines, Policies, and Bylaws governing virtual prescribing.

A collaborative, team-based model anchors the clinic’s approach, integrating prescribers, nurses, addiction counsellors, and administrative staff. This multidisciplinary team supports patients not only in their recovery journey but also in navigating connections to broader mental health, addictions, and general health services as needed.
