Summary

The Department of Recreational Services is seeking student staff help to create a welcoming and safe environment in the Recreation Centers weight room area for the fall and winter semesters. Shifts may be early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends depending on availability. 

Responsibilities*

  • Providing on-site supervision of the weight room to ensure patron safety
  • Light cleaning and regular checks of the cardio room and indoor track
  • Greet patrons and assist with providing answers to questions
  • Enforcement of facility policies
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary

    • Required Qualifications*

  • Must be a current UM-Flint student 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion 
  • Have the ability to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certification
