Finance Officer - Accounts Payable | Local Government

The Opportunity

A Local Government organisation is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer - Accounts Payable to support the efficient delivery of financial operations.

This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and financial transactions while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Based in Cairns, you will also have the opportunity to travel to the community periodically, contributing to a broader understanding of Council operations and service delivery.

What's On Offer

  • $70,000 base salary + superannuation
  • Full-time Local Government position
  • Monday to Friday - 36.25 hours per week
  • Standard hours: 8:00am - 4:15pm (1-hour lunch break)
