Job Description

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for carrying out the full accounts payable cycle and ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and in accordance with established guidelines. This is a temporary role (6 months), located in the head office.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounts payable invoices
  • Preparing all cheque runs on time
  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices
  • Processing business expense claims
  • Reconciling processed work, vendor statements, and investigating and resolving variances
  • Processing timely payments to vendors, monitoring discount opportunities and preparing payment runs
  • General Ledger and Journal entries
  • Manages the Banking, Suspense, and Prepaid reconciliations
