Position Summary:

Accounts Assistant responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. Accounts Assistant is in control of the financial documentation for an organization, and this information should be used appropriately and kept confidential. It's important that Accounts Assistant guard against misuse of an organization's funds by keeping transparent records.

Essential Functions:

Day-to-day duties for a successful Accounts Assistant, including:

  1. Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounts department.
  2. Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  3. Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
