Accounting Manager

Overview

We are looking for an accounting manager for a long-term role at a large QSR company. This is a 6 month contract to hire - fully in person requirement 5 days/week in Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee offshore accounting team; provide daily guidance, review work, and resolve questions.
• Oversee accounting operations for company‑owned restaurants, including: reviewing reconciliations; managing onboarding/offboarding of stores; ensuring accuracy of accounting processes; coordinate with the finance team regarding offshore work and escalations.
• Lead month‑end close activities.
• Ad Fund accounting including equipment sales accounting.
• Prepare/review key journal entries, including combining two entries during close.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee Ad Fund daily operations and support preparation of annual statutory statements.
