Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly financial accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal processing, fixed asset administration, petty cash management, payments, and payroll validation.
Review and monitor sales, weighbridge, inventory, intermill transactions, and cost of sales reconciliations.
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, variance analyses, financial reports, and year-end reporting packs.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by monitoring expenses, investigating variances, and assisting department heads with budget preparation.
Assist with inventory and stock counts, reconciliation of variances, and reporting on stock discrepancies and inventory risks.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, VAT and tax regulations, and internal financial controls.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing relevant documentation and responding to audit queries.
