SECURITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIRECTORATE

SECURITY MANAGEMENT DIVISION

Note: This position is interchangeable with other Section Leader posts within the Security Management unit. The essential qualifications apply to all new Section Leaders appointed from the date the new grade is authorised.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinates and controls key dimensions associated with the provision of a service.
• Supervises and controls outcomes related to utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel within the section.
• Performs functions related to assessing risk and volatility in situations that may cause harm to people, property and equipment. Exercises the powers of a Peace Officer in terms of sections 41 and 42 of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977 (as amended).
