The Bulk Chemist I is responsible to perform physical and analytical testing on in-process bulk material. Prepares lab batch adjustments and performs wet chemistry analysis, approving in-process batch adjustment and approving finished bulk product. Specific Responsibilities & Duties: • Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Good Laboratory Practices (GLD’s), Common Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) at all times. • Performs physical tests including viscosity, pH, specific gravity, and organoleptic tests. • Approves batch adjustments for in-process bulk products. • Approves and release finished bulk product after completing physical tests. • Performs variety of analytical methods using auto-titrator, and variety of wet chemistries following USP or customer specified methods. • Performs color-matching analysis using a color analyzer. • Performs ...
