PRINTING PRESS OPERATOR JOB SUMMARY: To lead the press crew in the everyday operation of the press, to ensure that we get make-readies and runs in the most efficient manner possible to achieve top quality production. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
- Train new crew members
- Make sure production order is checked for quality
- Check internal register
- Maintain and check color using densitometer
- Side guide and sheet checked for register jump
- Make sure die numbers, copy, and code numbers are checked
- Ensure SAP / PEAK recordkeeping
- Make sure all materials from previous job are removed before beginning new run
