Job Description

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Attends to controls specific site safety requirements.
• Raise services viz. manholes, water valve, etc to new road levels and patching around these services thereafter.
• Performs bricklaying activities.
• Supervises and controls the applications and activities of subordinates.
• Executes Clerks of Works applications in respect of private contract works.
• Transports labour, machine and heavy items to and from worksites.
• Orders and monitors material usage.
• Monitors compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Attends to the completion of activity related forms/documents.
• Supervises the milling operations undertaken by the Department staff and Contractors.
