1st Shift General Laborer

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a reliable and safety-focused 1st Shift General Laborer to join our client’s team in Owego, NY. This position is responsible for supporting the galvanizing process through proper material handling, racking, unracking, surface cleaning, inspection, and packaging of steel materials in accordance with quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to follow established procedures and specifications.Responsibilities

Remove galvanized steel from racks and inspect surfaces for imperfections.

Perform surface cleaning of black spots, drips, and wire markings using hand files, grinders, touch-up paint, and galvanizing bars.

Inspect hand-held equipment for safety, report disrepair to the foreman.

Package acceptable product according to job requirements.

Maintain a clean work area, including sweeping floors between racks....
