1:1 Teaching Partner for Visually Impaired Pupil

St Mark's is a supportive, nurturing and caring school that is passionate about making a difference to the lives of our young learners.

We are looking for a 1 to 1 Teaching Partner to work with a visually impaired pupil whilst at the School, that will assist classroom teachers in delivering quality teaching and learning to the pupil, to help raise standards and achievement, ensure they have full access to the curriculum and that they can participate meaningfully in their learning. 

Candidates should have a good standard of education with GCSE Maths/English, be willing to learn to use reading/writing in Braille and to become familiar with the Braille equipment to be able to relate well to the child and communicate with parents.

Liaising with teachers regarding planning and differentiation of work for visually impaired students will be key and you should be comfortable and experienced in tending to students' personal care or...
