1.0 FTE Temporary Learning Resource Teacher

Shuswap Middle School

Temporary assignment effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Diploma/Certificate in Special Education
• Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch
• Advanced level coursework in Assessment and experience in administering, interpreting, and reporting on Level B assessment
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention training (or willingness to train)
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and communication skills in working with staff, students, parents, and community partners
• Demonstrated ability to work collegially and as part of the school-based team
• Demonstrated ability to complete detail-oriented work, manage time, and organize workflow
• Current knowledge of and good skills with technology platforms
