Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Have university qualifications and successful teaching experience in teaching the specified subject areas at a secondary level.
- Have current knowledge and an ability to support students with behavioural, emotional, and career needs.
- Have knowledge of the BC Graduation Program, post‑secondary entrance requirements, and an ability to guide students with their education and career planning.
- Have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school, parents, and community personnel.
- Have demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with children and youth.
- Have an ability to provide intervention, prevention, and mediation services to students through individual, group, and class work.
- Be committed to and practice the philosophy of inclusion.
